Marabou sliding on streamer hooks

As a Browns fan, the NFL playoffs are completely meaningless to me, so I’ve been tying some sparkle minnow streamers this afternoon. I noticed that the marabou tends to roll over on me when I tie in the body materials. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to prevent marabou from sliding or roiling over on a streamer hook?

Are you laying a base of thread on the hook under the marabou?

I find if I tie in smaller clumps instead of one or two large ones that doesn't happen, in addition to the thread base mentioned already.

I did, but I obviously didn’t tie in the marabou tightly enough.

I recently saw a Tim Flagler post.
Rather than starting with your marabou “flat/ next to the hook”
Keep your marabou held slightly above the hook shank at an angle and progress your wraps

Also, perhaps try a soft thread wrap that u will secure with more pressure,
AS U WRAP THREAD UP….rather than pulling with pressure downward
