Due to the recent passing of former President Carter I came across this book. I'm only a few dozen page into it but it is well written and Mr. Carter sounds like a very down to earth person. I think we're all aware of his relationship with George Harvey and Spruce creek but the tales from his youth are a bit different than what I would have expected.
I think, so far, it is an interesting view of his outdoor experiences. I put aside my preconceived ideas and am enjoying this book so far.

I'll look for this book, I was a teen when Carter was elected and in my early 20's when he left office. I've always said we need to wait 25-30 years before we judge any President. And Holy Cow, if he was a fisherman, I'm willing to be open minded.
