Lets see those fishing dogs!

I sure do miss my dog. She was the best. Too soon to look for a new pup. Thanks for posting all the great dogs. They look like excellent angling companions.

Hey Terry,

Remember going fishing with Sidney standing on the bow of the boat spraying slobber all over us?

Or the time we ran Boozer way up from Owego and gave him an actual bath in the river, with soap? I think that was the same weekend you smuggled Boozer in. The time when he stuck his head outside the window of your truck and got knocked semi-unconscious by a June Bug.

Those were the days!

Regards,

Tim Murphy :)

These must be very well behaved dogs. I never think of a dog as part of my fishing mainly because of all the added complications. Even hunting with well trained beagles I have seen things get out of hand fast.

Wirehairs can definitely be a pain , but

This one was a true PIA .

Dash (young and ornery) and Sally (wily veteran). Absolute useless on a trout stream, unless I can teach ‘em to point risers. However, as my professional guide dogs I couldn’t ask for anything better! And yes I spoil the hl out of them.

Not my dog but I've gotten to know him pretty well , he makes fishing along this creek quite interesting. Will take the fish while hooked if he can, adds an extra challenge while playing a fish.

One more for the Brittany fan club. Technically an EB.
Her name is Callie and I got her to be my fishing buddy. Two years old. She is lots of fun to have along.
I want to take her with me when I float, but she just has so much energy, I don't think she would have a good time having to chill for a couple of hours at a time. So I haven't even tried it yet. Krayfish - what's the secret to floating with a 100MPH dog? I guess just do it and work through it.
