Broad Run or Bear Valley Run?View attachment 1641239106
I’ve been fishing a lot still, and up until this week the action was still really good. Great success on the spring creeks and smaller freestoners. Yesterday, however, was the first time that I remember getting skunked this year while fishing for brook trout. Water was freezing from snowmelt and I only saw one fish all day. Hopefully the fishing stays good enough to make it worth going out in the cold over the winter
Broad. I haven’t caught anything worth catching at bear valley ever since all of the wood structure got washed out, last time I was there the majority of the good pools were way shallower than they used to be, and it wasn’t just because of a lack of rainBroad Run or Bear Valley Run?
Have you poked around Shippensburg yet?Broad. I haven’t caught anything worth catching at bear valley ever since all of the wood structure got washed out, last time I was there the majority of the good pools were way shallower than they used to be, and it wasn’t just because of a lack of rain
Not yet. That’s about the only place I haven’t gotten too yet, I was looking on google maps and wasn’t quite sure where to access it because some of it looked like private propertyHave you poked around Shippensburg yet?
How do you know it was 18’ deep? Heavy duty 25’ tape measure in your sling pack? Maybe zip tie a small diameter piece of rebar to it if the water is really moving? Sorry, I just can’t make any sense of this one.I went fishing last weekend on the West Branch Susquehanna and I could see bottom in 18 feet of water! I've never seen it that clear before. One time before I recall seeing down to 11 foot.
