Smallies and fallfish are still biting pretty good on the Brandywine and conestoga!
I pretty much threw strictly for musky but didn't see a single fish! I expected to at least see something but nope! How was the fishing?
I fish in the Lock Haven to Muncy area. There are several areas that deep. Where Loyalsock Creek dumps in hits 26 feet deep. A lot of the area above the dam here in Williamsport is around 20' too.Where is the West Branch Susquehanna 18 feet deep?
Most of it seems pretty shallowI
Are there still enormous numbers of carp below the Williamsport dam? Years ago (1990s?) a buddy and I were fishing from a boat there and saw amazing numbers of carp. Guys in another boat were snagging them.I fish in the Lock Haven to Muncy area. There are several areas that deep. Where Loyalsock Creek dumps in hits 26 feet deep. If I'm not mistaken, one of my favorite stretches.I fished only 4 times in October. Fish were caught, but I am likely switching to surf fishing a bit earlier this year. As noted above, fishing in water this low is not all that fun sometimes.
A few shots from last Tuesday on a certain Central PA destination creek whose gauge shows better than the actual conditions on the ground, for sure.
Now that's an interesting question I'd like to hear more about. Are there still enormous numbers of carp below the Williamsport dam? Years ago (1990s?) a buddy and I were fishing from a boat there and saw amazing numbers of carp. Guys in another boat were snagging them.
I do not see nearly the numbers of carp as there used to be. I wouldn't even want to really target them too much in the rive most places. I know a few spots but nothing like it used to be!Are there still enormous numbers of carp below the Williamsport dam?
