Interesting Brook Trout Info from a Scientist

Hey
Dear hooker-of-men,

Tartar sauce is the suck compared to ****tail sauce, it's literally no contest. I can't believe you can't say male chicken on this site. What if you want to go to a male chicken-tail lounge for a drink?

A couple of lumps of Kelchner's Horseradish and a big glob of Heinz ketchup swirled around in the bowl is all you need!

Just sayin'.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂
Tim,

I think most stuff I have had from Kelchner's is pretty decent.

Regards,

Jifigz

P.S. You better plan on that fishing trip at Little Buffalo this year. I want to see a big fella in a bright yellow float tube!

Dear jifigz,

I bought an inflatable kayak on Black Friday. I'll get a motor for it on the Spring. Drop it in the fin box and no more kicking for this fat boy! I like my hard kayak but with two of them mounted on a trailer it's a PITA to just take one and go.

I did buy an inflatable kayak for the missus too. I ain't that stupid! 😉

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

I don't eat ketchup. Despite the tone of some of my posting here, I'm not a child.

Dear hooker-of-men,

I'll bet you eat mayonnaise on fries, right? 😉

I like tartar sauce on french fries, or ****tail sauce, if they're a side with seafood. If it's fries on their own, vinegar and ketchup.

Barbecue sauce is saved for chicken nuggets.

Mayo on fries is delicious, but so is ketchup, mustard, vinegar, BBQ sauce, McDonald's sweet & sour, honey mustard, ranch, thousand Island, etc, etc, etc.

I don’t think I took the guy in
video very seriously as soon as he mentioned trout have separated for hundreds of years. I think he meant to say thousands upon thousands of years to evolve into a separate subspecies.

Someone on here asked me about a Beardslee Rainbow from Lake Cresent. That’s a fairly sizable lake that was formed by an earthquake landslide 7000 years ago. I’m no scientist obviously but I’ve asked some about that fish and the answers I got was it has not been long enough to warrant a seperate subspecies of rainbow. These are steelhead and coastal cutthroats that got trapped. Not enough genetic drift. I angled and failed at both when I was in the area but I was on my honeymoon and fished from 4-7 in the am.

The fish do appear to be different by sight, the lake is very clear and sterile. The fish only have one area to spawn where a trib comes in. I believe the numbers there are now very low.

As far as the brook trout go I’m sure there are different populations and if they test enough I’m sure they will find enough genetic drift. Also, I’m sure many biologists would want their hard work to be validated.

Lake Crescent in giant leg brace but pleased with a decent loop
