In need of a scud pattern

That's a pretty good article. I noted in the article he mentions the orange hot spot as well. I'm going to start playing with scud patterns this weekend, so this thread is great timing. I plan on incorporating the Loon UV Knot Sense in the shell back. I was playing around with it the other day and coated the shell back of some Vladis and really liked the results. Soft and chewy, transparent, gave it a bigger back which should ride along the stream bottom even better.

Stay tuned for my scud pattern and a brief article about fishing it. I think this may be the Fly of the Month going up in a couple days or so. Definitely the time of year to tie scuds and cress bugs.

You use spiky dub under body, palmer in CDC feather, then tease is all down before putting the shell back on. It's easy.

I prefer belly button lint to the stuff that comes from the dryer...
