I have been seeing large mayflies (Hex) in good numbers in the evening on the Conodoguinet. Additionally, tiny light color mayflies (Tricos) are in good numbers.

Sulfur, white and a variety of others can be seen on homes in the area...but not in heavy numbers.

Tricos are black and white, with very little white, so I don't know without a pic what you're seeing in the morning.

Chaz,

I will look for some to photograph. The rain will make it difficult. Size 22 or smaller cream / yellow mayfly. The big guys are excellent flyers are tough to pin down.

Brian,

If you are seeing them late in the day, probably not tricos as they are typically a morning hatch. My guess would be some version of olive is hatching. Some have a pale olive to yellow color like the hebe.
