I am new to salmon fishing I went last year for a day no luck I was just wondering if you guys that fish new York could give me some advice on what fly's and what technics you use to fish them

I like estaz eggs in orange and chartreuse fished with some weight under an indicator.

Any flies work really. Eggs, wooly buggers, and bog easy to tie stones seem to be my go to however. As far as technique, we'll there really isn't any when it comes to salmon. All you have to do is get the fly deep and hope to get it right in their face.

Here ya go!...it's EZ! Just get out there and drift some flies. It's often crowded, but if that doesn't bother you, you can have some fun catching some real big fish.

And bring a spare rod in case you tail hook a fresh king as your rod will likely explode.

I'd pay the DSR fee, get fresh fish and swing annoyingly obnoxious flies across their mug. Fresher fish may be more receptive to swipe at your offering. Drive around and enjoy the ER Circus.
