wait, so i can use this stupid thing to do dumb #censor# without plunking out mroe than $15?

i find this idea awesome. and i can use it as a hobby phone to boot.

I have a waterproof case for my phone so I am not worried about it getting wet. I already took a spill this year that would have destroyed my phone but luckily I had it in the case. So far I've caught a lot of fish but nothing photo worthy in my opinion. Might have to change that this weekend!

Jdaddy unless you are looking to spend a grand on a video camera with all the auto focus and other fancy gadgets a dsrl is a perfect camera that will take video and pictures. The video will definitely be better the go pro quality.

http://vimeo.com/m/39594064 done using two dsrl. Probably a good editing software makes it a lot easier.

Speaking of editing software, what do you guys use to edit? My Canons all render video in quicktime and besides the lengthy conversion process which only works half the time anyway I've yet to find decent editing software. I'm not ready to splurge on a mac book just so I can edit videos. The only thing I've found so far is the youtube editing function which actually does work but it just splices footage together.

As far as the usefulness of video, for me I enjoy sitting back and watching old videos from some places where I might never get back to, that and reminiscing with some old buddies that have moved away or passed on, that's the value for me. And sharing on forums and feeling like a big shot , lol j/k
