Hey Jack ...

Better tell Norman Maclean that trout don't swirl

Sent you one back, let me know if you got it, not sure if I did it right

Not sure why the sideways-ness I posted them via iPhone

What does he know?

He knows all about shadow casting to swirling fish Jack :D lol

There has been some effort to clean up the AMD into this stream. There is small filter dams on the mountains that drain into the stream. I do believe there was talk of stocking the stream by the local TU chapter. If that ever happened, I'm not sure. I have never fished the stream but do a great deal of hunting in the glenwhite area. I've often thought about the idea of finding fish in that creek. My father has told me about an article published in the Altoona Mirror back in the 70s when the creek was orange in color of a guy catching trout in that same creek. So I guess the possibilities exist. I do occasionally turn rocks over during hunting season and see bugs. This thread has peaked my curiosity. I will explore this stream with a rod in hand rather than a rifle. I just might surprise myself.

I am from the Altoona area. When it was free to visit the Horse Shoe Curve, we would often visit. We called the water in that stream orange juice. It was so acidic it was orange in color.

JMP - Its came along way, lets just leave it at that
