For some time I have used my own hand tied knotted leaders which have worked well for me for many situations from dries to steamers, but once in a while I will use a Orvis or Rio Knotless leader for certain flies/situations. However, one day I was fishing streamers with a 0x mono Knotless leader which turned over the large streamers with ease. So, instead of tying on a smaller knotted leader for fishing dries the remainder of the day, I simply just added 10" of 2x and 10" of 4x plus my 24-36" of tippet to this bulky thick leader and used it as a dry leader which turned out to be very accurate and turn over my flies as good if not better than my old knotted leaders. I later acquired a few packs of the 0-1x leaders that will probbaly last me a whole season. I have been using this set-up all season from Hoppers to Tricos with success and thought I would share to see if any others use this type of set-up.
