I've been using this Sod Farm half hitch tool for several months for tying off flies. The other end is used to tease back hair when high tying for wings or collars.
Why is BIC written on it?
very handy...

I have a similar tool. But mine is a Pentel "Kitty-Cat Gentlemen's Club" model...

I like a simple half hitch tool like that. As you throw the hitch and set it you also push the Catskills type hackles back and as you cinch the knot it forces the hackles to stand up a bit straiter. May just be the oldest of my tools.

Then there is a consensus. I'll keep using it. But I should probably stop taking them from tellers and servers and store clerks.

Very Clever All. For me it all started with a Chiropractor pen. I made a nice disgorger for smaller fish. I have trouble getting the Hemostats into the right place on small trout and sunnies and this is helpful. Fly fishing can be a fun journey.
