Dyeing bucktail

Has anyone ever tried using Stinging Nettle (cow-itch) root to attain a brilliant yellow for dying white bucktail to use on Mickey Finn streamer patterns and others calling for yellow bucktail? Any recipes/directions welcome. Other materials should probably work also, as well as a combination of other colors to achieve a nice lemon wood-duck tone from mallard. Possibilities seem good to experiment with this winter. Thanks, Ringeye
