I have a friend / place to stay outside Hartford CT that makes for somewhat easy access to run down to hit the shore. Now, I know it's completely taboo to talk about striper spots online, so I imagine this is a fool's errand:

Any chance anyone has intel to share, however vague, on CT spots to fish the surf / wade? I've heard Old Saybrook is the place to be, but I believe the second-hand acquaintance who shared this fishes from a boat.

Any trips I could make would be quick and dirty, so I'm at a loss to explore miles of coastline looking for access. Some direction to narrow things down would be great. No expectations for pin drops or such, of course. Super secret PMs appreciated, if anyone can help!
