Central PA Conservancy Letort fundraiser dinner and event Oct 11

Just saw the delightful news on CPC's progress to protect the headwaters of the Letort. There is a fund raising event Oct 11 to raise the $65,000 that is needed to match grants for the $315,000 price of the property.

One of the guest speakers is our own David Weaver, ie Fishidiot.

The image in my avatar will be auctioned off during the banquet.

It's titled "Letort," is acrylic on canvas, 16x20 framed in gold, and depicts the upper section at Bonneybrook near the targeted property for which we're raising funds.

Dave, this is great donation, your painting and gift is highly appreciate.
Letort is so significant to our fly fishing culture and PA anglers and should be never again under environmental risk or degradation. I hope it will be still fine for the future enjoyment.
I took my photograph about 10 years ago, close to Marinaro's “meadow when I went to Letort first time.

The image is pretty much what you see in the avatar pic, minus the frame. Interestingly, it depicts the section just below where the wooden foot bridge is located and is about 30 or so yards below the spot portrayed in your photo, which is at Bonneybrook bridge.

It's just a gorgeous area with brilliant greens in the water and landscape.
