I never heard of AVIDMAX but I bought of their CDC. nice stuff. The Light Cahill is pretty long and beautiful. The Dark Dun is a tad shorter but still very nice. I use the Petitjean gadget.

I just bought stuff from them as well. Return address is near Denver, Co. Got a pretty good deal on a vise and shopped for some other materials and they were in line with everyone else.

avid is pretty darn good. they seem to be a younger group of guys and are trying pretty hard to put out decent gear at decent prices as well as some really good tying content too. sub to their email list for videos and stuff it's worth it.
