Very nice, you should be hooked now. You may also be ruined. Not much compares to a dry fly eat in this game.

While not even close to my first trout, my first trout on a fly rod came almost 30 years ago on an Adams during a blue quill hatch in early April. It wasn't big but that is my most memorable fish.

Yup, it ruined me. My first 10 fish I caught last year were all on dries and it took a lot of convincing (i.e skunking) for me to start to get into the nymph game. I still only tie them on out of what feels like necessity
