I was fishing Bob's Creek yesterday (05-27) and noticed a couple types of small (size 16) stoneflies hatching in large numbers. I fish there quite often and never noticed them before, most likely because I am usually fishing the drake hatch. One was black and one was brown. Anyone know what they were? I cant seem to find anything on them in any books I got on PA hatches. I know that the little blacks and the little browns have been done for a while. If anything, I was expecting to see the yellow and green stones.
Also, I saw a small mayfly (size 14) that I couldnt identify. I think it had a brownish body, but I cant say for certain. I must admit that I didnt bother catching one to get a closer look. It definitely wasnt a sulphur or a march brown.
