I gave them a good running on some salmon this past weekend. Here's my analysis.
I was using streamer hooks in sizes 4-8. Also had some beads from Allen. They held up great. Didn't break or bend a single one, even on foul hooks. Nice and sharp, but most didn't last too long with those big salmon to see how the sharpness lasted.
I also used sz 10 scud hooks for eggs. I bent several of them on foul hooked fish. Nothing out of the ordinary there though. A 20lb+ fish will do that to a sz 10 hook. Now I used dai riki's for years in the same size and rarely ever bent one, but never hooked salmon with them either so it's not that much of a fair comparison.
Flipnfly was using other hooks this weekend and he broke more than a handful. Not sure exactly what brand he was using. Allen held up against the competition.
All in all for the money, they are pretty stinking good.
