body = hackle quill
thorax = yellow dubbing. synthetic
tail = deer
 
My guess is marabou for the tail and abdomen, goose down for the wing, and philoplume fibers for the thorax.

Or it could be nose hairs for the tail and abdomen, ear hairs for the wing, and belly button lint for the thorax. :lol:

silk is close for another, but not quite there...

Milkweed was used in life preservers during WWII along with kapok. it is still used in the making of non-alergenic pillows and such. It makes a good substitude for cdc, it repells water.....it has been used if the tying of flies over the years....
