Im heading to Nemacolin the first weekend of November. I think I have a whole day to fish. Should I fish the stream at Nemacolin or fish the river? I will be bringing a flyrod and a switch rod.

I would fish the Youghiogheny River or Savage River. You need a Maryland fishing license and trout stamp. Good luck. Boulderworks.

Early November could be a great time to swing streamers in the Yough. Fish the section between Confluence and Ohiopyle. Pennsylvania license covers this water.

The savage is extremely low, at 32 CFS and has been for weeks. The temps are down now which is good, but they were up pretty high. I would not really spend time there, unless you are well practiced in picky tailwater fishing to super low water.

N Branch Potomac would be another option if you wanted to drive down there.

I'd stick to the Yough though. Be advised that ACOE will be shutting down (from what I have heard) flows below the dam in the first week of November.

Yough has been hot for me recently.. but like Broodstock said check out lhgs facebook page they posted the alerts for the dam and flows
