What would be a good wet fly for smallies?

Most good trout wets work for bass if they are somewhat over sized.

GRHE is a good choice. Briminators are fun.
Sometimes a red body with white hackle really makes smallies hit hard .
McGinty , royal coachman, even pass lakes and doc sprately work on bass

Nah. Peacock and partridge.

PTSH and peacock and partridge are both super great flies.

I like almost any hackle with peacock herl bodies. Usually hen in large and starling in small .

I love a peacock and starling or even a nice small thread body and starling. Those have saved the day for me before.
