What good is a yarn indicator if it soaks up water and needs floatant? I'd just as soon use a dry fly and usually do if I need to see the line in heavy water. Otherwise a piece of old fly line with the core removed is a great indicator for nymphing, just slide it over the leader to the point you connect the leader to the line.
