I’d like to go on more winter fly fishing trips to Florida. My days of fishing below 40 degrees are over and do not miss it. My comfort is paramount to fishing.
If there is snow one the ground go out early and look for sun on the water. If the air temperature reaches over 32 look for fish to shut down due to a drop in water temperatures. If fish are rising use a small black pattern a #18 black stone fly usually works.
