Wbrach....My god, how many fly rods do you have? It seems you are consistently selling quality used/unused fly rods. What is the most you've ever had in your possession at one time? Sorry for the hijack. Just curious...

I'm not really sure. I don't have desire to find all of them and get an accurate count. It's hard to say what the most I ever had at one time was. Perhaps thirty. Even though I have been married for almost thirty years my wife has always been okay with me buying more rods. I was single for a heck of a long time and bought a lot of bamboo rods in the mid 1960's to mid 1980's. I sold pretty much all of them. I also used to assemble (build sounds like I started from scratch) a lot of rods. I had a little rod business and probably built fifty rods for clients. Since I had a dealers number I got blanks and all sorts of rod building hardware for 40% - 60% off list. So I bought many blanks and put on the reel seats, cork, guides and finish.

That post sounds really flippant! I don't want anyone to think I don't care about my rods or any of my fly fishing tackle. I have a lot and everything is either at my home or cabin. Exactly where - well I'm not 100% sure. I keep stuff in my den and in a closet in the garage. At this time I don't need to know where everything is.

This is a VERY nice rod. I would buy it if I did not already have one.

Landmark,

Do you have the #4 or the #5?

I have the 4. It has plenty of power once you figure out how to use it. I like it for fishing dries especially. Also think it is a more delicate presentation and the softer tip protects light line. I prefer it over any of my 5 wts even on bigger water.

I paid over twice what you are asking by the way.

I have this rod too. It's awesome!
