I really like your post, Letortangler. A bit of a different note, anyone have any tips for acquiring their own private land?
My family has reached a more "comfortable" point recently, and I saw someone mentioned land near the YC Gorge for as little as a few thousand an acre?!?! I didn't realize how cheaply one could accumulate a small, or not, amount of land in Pa.
I don't want to derail the direction of this thread (Priv>Public land reclamation). However, I would love to buy "my own" slice of land strategically on/near some wild trout waters. Any sites or resources for finding land listings any of you recommend?
This just seems like a no-brainer "investment" to put in ones portfolio.
