Why do I instantly bird’s nest tangle when I fish a drop fly!?

Are ya sure it isn’t your casting?

If not sure, I would try fishing for a bit letting the water “back cast” for you. Meaning - let water take line downstream. Use surface tension to cast upstream in a single forward motion. Reduce your cast to its simplest form. If issue persists, it is not your casting.

He seems to be having the problem on hook sets, not casting.
