Who Needs Fancy Gear???

🚨NON-ELITE ANGLING ALERT 🚨

This method blurs the distinction between predator and prey, particularly in alligator country, but also going north into gar, muskie and pike territory, and I'm all for a fair fight.

Also, I have a friend who is prone, on occasion, to deadpan exaggeration. He insists tickling a trout to subdue it is a real thing and that he has done it.

So, he catches the trout and then, while in the fish is in the net, he tickles it? Hmmm. That is on my list of things to learn. Can I change my handle to - The Fish Tickler? Once I learn how to tickle fish, of course.

I have to believe that fish are fed off of that dock or they are incredibly aggressive meaning just about any lure or fly would be clobbered.

Regardless, it's less scary than Okie Noodling which I consider as terrifying as being on the boat with Quint, Brody & Hooper and besides...

...that is one nice bass and it was released!!

I take my kids fishing at such a place 20 minutes from my house. I have never tried catching one by hand like this, but if I wanted to try, it's where I would go. There are some big boys there and they go nuts over fathead minnows. The real big ones go nuts when you hook a small bluegill.
