Hit SR Creek for an hour tonight. Whiteflies were coming off lightly bringing some fish to the surface sporadically. Caught 1 rainbow and 5 or so smallies. Soon.....
Whitefly hatch on SRC has been great. Several evenings of fun in the past week. Thought i'd share an interesting experience I had last night. I am wet wading the creek as the sun is setting catching bass like I know what i am doing. All of a sudden something chomps down on my toe. In 20 years of FF I have never had anything bite me in the water. Fishing was great so i stayed put. What ever it was was bigger than a cray fish and smaller than a beaver.
Bruno, glad you're hitting the hatch. Have been out numerous times as well and have found success. Only on the initial emergence, not so much the spinner fall. Had a lot of crayfish nibbling at my toes too but nothing to freaky like that haha. Have you been North or South of 422?
