I’ve done some unsuccessful searching here and think it’s just a difficult subject to search.
I’d like to hear where everyone puts their flies while the head cement is wet. I tried the bobbin bar but I’m constantly picking them up off the desk.

Around the rim of a good size styrofoam cup always seemed to treat me well (plus that’s what the old school guys at FFP do). Anymore I just use UV cure resins though. Couple seconds of light and fully cured

Yo Tull - I use champagne corks. Regular wine corks work too, but they don't stand up too well. For hackled flies, I take a 4 inch section of mono - 6X or so for smaller stuff, and string the wet flies on them. This has the advantage of automatically clearing the hook eyes.
P.S. I use up old discarded mono I find on streams for this, since it doesn't matter how beat up and weakened it is.

I have a larger multi compartment clear plastic fly box attached with Velcro to the top of my desk. This is where I put the flies I tie until I get around to transferring them to bulk storage boxes or the fly boxes I carry.

If I feel a need to let a flies dry, I just hang them over the edge of the respective compartment on this box. As I never tie less than a dozen of any fly, after I tie one or two more, I'll knock the ones hanging into their compartment.

I don’t drink champagne or wine. I’m finding aluminum cans dull my hooks! 😉

That’s what I did. I glued a piece of packing foam to a small block of wood for stability.

i used to use head cement and i would just lay them down on my vise pedestal or tying bench

now i use uv resin for head cement and they're dry in seconds

I’m with laslo and stecal. I have a magnet strip( like a magnet you stick on your refrigerator) glued to my tying bench. You can cut them into any size you want.

any piece of sheet packing foam cut into squares and also pipe insulation cut into "wedges". related: I like to use pieces of pipe foam on the frame of my raft as a fly holder when drifting for bass
