I seem to break mine on trees and branches all the time. The cord that comes and helps the net hang off your body......any suggestions where to buy a few reasonably for future? Thanks

Multipacks of thin bungee cords are available in just about any discount store. The hardware store sells clamps to close the loops if you don't like how the double half-hitches look.

My initial suggestion is for a reasonably priced replacement for a net lanyard. For years, I've been using a double key ring with a quick-connector. One ring is attached to the loop that hangs from the back of my vest collar and the other to the eye screw on the net handle. I'm able to push the little button and grab the net without any fiddling around. I expect the magnets are better, but the present arrangement works fine for now.

I use the orvis magnet one, and have for a few years - however I am picky about it and lately it has not been working great. The plastic clips suck and the bungee came out of the plastic. I tied the bungee onto the split rings that the magnet came with.

I tried a retractor, but did not like it as much. I might need to move back to the gearkeeper, since I keep my wading staff on one.

I either keep my net on a backpack, or wader strap - or sometimes a rain jacket D ring, depending on weather and where I fish.

BTW, I swear by McLean weigh nets and have been using them for over 20 years.
