Dear bringthepain,Normally i just use a standard tapered leader with a tippet rang on the end. I know a good youtube channel for the dropper tags. Oldominiontroutbum i think his name is. I will watch some of his vids about it and see if i can make sense of it
If you normally fish 9-foot knotless leaders, they are not well suited for building multi-fly wet fly leaders. Especially if you are fishing with a floating line.
Buy a 4-foot thread furled leader with a tippet ring and just commence to build a wet fly leader from that. 7 1/2 to 8 foot is plenty of length for swinging a brace of 3 wet flies.
Doing that will make wet fly fishing the only game for you though, so keep that in mind.
If you buy knotted tapered leaders in 7 1/2-foot length, or even 9-foot length adding tags at the knots is easy to do. Adding a wrap or two of matchstick lead along the leader makes them easy to fish, and easy to revert to a regular leader if the conditions change and the fish start jumping.
Pick your poison and go big or go home! 😉
