Weedless streamers

Sitting at the desk today I was thinking about some ideas for some streamers that are "weedless". Has anybody ever tried tying something out of lighter gitzit type football bass jigs? I am thinking maybe of trying to tie something on some plastic worm hooks? I am sure some of the warm water and spring creek guys have brainstormed this before me. Love to see or hear some other ideas. Every time I get to thinking bass fishing gear is all I can think of.

I occasionally tie Clouser-type flies on Worm hooks, and they do a very good job of being weedless. I also occasionally buy weedless hooks (the ones with built-in wire weedguards) for topwater frogs/poppers, and of course there's always the old, traditional option of hard mono loop weedguards.
