Warning: new sinkhole on West Valley

aka "Valley Creek" to the PA DOT. I told Bob Bonney about it and he said there are/were several sinkholes in the section from the Pump Station upstream. The big one which dried the creek up last summer was the size of a tub. Be careful you don't step into one. I suppose the area right around there could collapse under your weight. One of the sinkholes was 10 feet deep.

That's wild. Didn't hear about the creek drying up last year, what happened?

Yo sar - apparently the big sinkhole(s) that opened up last summer was big enough to handle the 20 or 30 CFS that West Valley produces at that point.

hun - this sinkhole as well as the others are all in the Special Regs section, fairly near the top.
