Still learning........imagine that........
My typical rig for pickerel/bass/Panfish is becoming a clipped back leader I think it was 7.5' 4x mono and now its only 4-5'. To that I attach 3' of 10lb mono. It gets down to 3-4' deep relatively fast. I was swinging a medium white wooly bugger with good results. Soon the weeds will make me move out further to 6-8' deep. Is there a point where I should switch to floro for its faster sinking ability.
 
You won't realize a faster sink rate with fluorocarbon. the big benefit of fluorocarbon for subsurface fishing is it's abrasion resistance.
 
Oh, not what I'd read. but I check my tippet often and haven't had an issue yet. Thanks.
