Hey All,

As cold weather hits have any of you had any luck at any of the power plant discharges? Brenners island or is there any near TMI, of course all of this depends on there being decent river levels again.

Thanks,

Sean

Brunner Island is a pretty popular winter fishery in York. Lots of bait guys and lure chuckers all along the banks on a sunny day. With the reduction in the SMB population the WWdischarge is less productive than a decade ago but there are fish to be had.

Its kinda odd to be standing waist deep in 89 degree water while its snowing heavily and there are sulfurs coming off.

Don't get excited about dry fly fishing though. I've never seen one caught that way.

But it is an attractor of baitfish and with that comes the larger sport fish of the Susky.

Go check it out just for giggles. Take a spin rod and a bunch of shiners and drift them near the seams. Or use tube jugs bounced on the bottom to imitate crayfish.

Wait til the water is down to around 4.5 in Harrisburg though. Thats a good level for wading.
