Inspired by a recent creek sampling,
figured it was time to stick my toe in the shallow end...

still a far cry from a mop fly, but a good imitation of a food form located in the column where trout will eat >95% of the time. Reminds me a lot of the color combo in Egan’s GTI caddis. Wonder if the same dubbing from that recipe (olive Hare-Tron and peacock AZ synthetic) but tied like this would produce something even buggier and deadlier.
