In an attempt to bore you all … here’s some vintage fish porn - circa 1975 - first “big bass on a fly rod” from a local (now defunct) golf course pond. Fish was hauled back home dangling from the handlebars of my Schwinn Typhoon on a 79 cent K-Mart chain stringer - tackle was 8.5 foot Shakespeare Wonder Rod, a Pflueger Sal-Trout loaded with a Cortland 333 WF6F green “Rocket taper” - leader was a hunk of 10 pound mono with a red and white #6 cork popper - I was so proud of that poor 14” LMB!
