Vermont 06/12-06/14

Not to sidetrack your lovely post Andy, but I have fished those streams alot. They are not infertile, totally, but they are cold and hold fish. People swim in them more than fish in them from my random sightings and they stock heavily in the park. Like anywhere, the further you walk, the luckier you get and the scenery is truly awesome. Plenty of brookies in the higher elevations if you like to hike up that sort of giant boulder cascade, I wear out waders pretty quickly, but the water chemistry is certainly different without the lime buffering. If anyone is planning a trip to the White Mountains, I would happily put you on some good water and my friend Dave Baker lives and guides up there if that is your preference.

Nice report Sass. Vermont is a great place for chasing trout. GG
