It's not ideal, but on a computer, hovering over a dot will tell you the location without having to click on it. I don't know if that will work on a phone screen.
This is what I do. No problems. It's not ideal, but on a computer, hovering over a dot will tell you the location without having to click on it. I don't know if that will work on a phone screen.
govt even moves slower than universities to update websites. This is why they appear outdated very quickly. So I have been following the transition of the old USGS and the development of the new USGS Water Dashboard. I have sat in on several online webinars and presentations provide by the USGS. This has been going on for over five years.
Sorry but having been in the IT Industry my whole life I'm will say what a disappoint this thing as been. And it's not even finished. We are stuck in some sort of hybrid mode of old and new. The new site was an attempt to upgrade the web interface with a more contemporary look and feel. Also add in other USGS data sets like weather as overlays. I think the was bigger upgrade at USGS of all the sites as well. They have made several statements over the years of turning off access to the old site, but never have done so. In doing the upgrade, the newer interface turned off features. So I'm not even sure I would even want the new dashboard. It's really slow.

Don’t worry. It will be shut down soon and you won’t have to worry about it anymore.
Think its a satire statement - (or maybe not) - because of the upheaval going on in the country now.Huh? Usgs sites are getting shut down?
