BeeberII and I had a fantastic week fishing last week. Upper kettle gave up over a 100 fish in one day for us. Local streams here fished well also. Pine was blown out as was slate and cedar tribe. Just an amazing week of fish and flies.

Our trip turned out to be great. Lots of fish caught. No dry fly action but was killing them on green drake nymphs, yellow stone nymphs and March Brown emerger pattern tied after that Nicholas pattern. One note and I don't want to bash any shop or proprietor, but the leaders and tippet bought of the same name as the shop they were purchased were no good. Several of us lost a few nice fish from knots breaking on the first night. we checked all the "new" material and you could snap 4X - 6X with your hands and cinching knots tight. Kind of disappointed after spending 50 - 200 dollars each between the 8 of us.

Really? From who? What most of us consider "upper Kettle" may be above the stocked areas.
