If you plan on traveling with it, yes it is. That one folds up to protect the bulb - I have a black one just like it. Uses the same bulb as the one I listed above. The $20 one has more reach and is more adjustable if someone wants one for their tying desk. YMMV...

The craft stores often run 40-60% off coupons if you watch, I got the desk mount with the magnifying lens for $40 with one, once.

The reflector is kinda annoying, though, but its nice knowing its there.

Note that Jo-Ann accepts ALL competitors coupons, so if you find a 40% or 50% off Micheals, Hobby Lobby, etc that includes sale prices, they would accept it. How low can you go!?!?!?

Got it! it's saweet. Thanks Jdaddy for the coupon as well 70% off an Ott light is a pretty good deal. At least the girls working there thought so. They commented how I must be a very nice guy to buy one of these lights for someone for XMas. I then told them it was for me and they thought I was weird lol
