Tying in a dropper

I rig this way all the time for nymphing. It's a great way to tie in a replacement dropper when my first dropper gets too short. It works like a charm as well as being easy to do without having to start from scratch with your rig.

Me too however instead of threading point fly through the loop. I just tie the knot around the leader. Easier and quicker still. One less step.
