I love not Alpa's change of cntext using words left out and complaete opposite of matter of opinon is awesome.

Speaking of tapping the fish tank, I believe that the single all around rod for fly fishing would be a slow action, mid-flex 7'6" 3wt. A versatile all around rod that presents drys beautifully, presents mulit bug rigs wonderfully and tosses a tung head wooly bugger with no problem if you know what you are doing.

5 weight for pretty much any stream work and light bass work. 5&6 line
then i'd have to say id get a 7 wt switch with a floating line and a skagit line.
thats an odd pick, i know. but i could use it for steel here, and take it home and blind cast deep pockets AND sit fish hawaiian bones.
