Trout stamp

Posting random numbers without a hypothesis is as good as posting cartoon characters. What are you attempting to prove.
My hypothesis is that PA is losing non resident fishermen due to the license cost. NY actually lowered the non resident license cost some years ago due to that very reason.

Maybe this is a reaction to data they collected that told them that fishermen in PA find streams too crowded.

If I remember correctly, an idaho non resident license was over 100 bucks, while a resident is about 30 bucks. Haven't lived in any other states.

But 50 bucks sounds like a bargain for whole year's fishing. Particularly if youre fishing the eastern 2/3 of it. Spent that today ****el bourbon and two bottles of of wine on sale that I know won't last the weekend.

I agree about the $50. I live in NJ and fish the Catskills quite a bit. I also fish PA, mainly because I have property and family there.

Too crowded?

Perhaps if PFBC allocated a higher % of spending on stream access it would help that problem.

I drive by so many streams that are junk streams that could be stocked and used with relative easy access to the public but instead PFBC stocks random streams off the beaten path that see a handful of fishermen a week because it is simply hard to get there.

The folks that are die-hards and fish for wild trout year round will travel to those remote locations to fish, (most of us on PAFF fit this catergory)

But the regular joes that spinner fish as a weekend warrior and go elbow to elbow opening weekend or will only fish the roadside pull offs that get stocked will obviously complain about it being too crowded.
