Trico Nymphs

No problem. I have Old Lefty's number in speed dial.

Dave bails me out when I need answers, too.

You're a bit too hard on yourself, Gary. If you'd fish somewhere for fish that didn't have PhD's in refusals, you'd hammer the snot out of 'em. Time for a road trip.

Unless its dries, I swear to you, the Stream Gods are trying to take away the one thing I hold dear.

I lost count how many missed takes I had today for the evening sulphurs.

Well then just start counting the hook ups it'll be easier to remember :p

Here's my plan for fixing this problem.

We'll trade rods and then fish. If you then hook fish, it's the rig - leader and/or fly.

If I hook fish with your rig, the problem is with you. Our rods are pretty similar, if you're using your 8' 4wt.

From that point, I have to see what you're doing. This is fixable. Relax.

Gfen's using that 10 footer

Oh, good Lord. The man owns the ultimate dry fly rod, and he's using that howitzer. There's probably ripped off lips on his flies! :-o

Actually, its regardless of rod. I've been through 4 different ones, always the same output. The 10er makes me look like I know what I'm doing though, its impossibled to throw open loops.

Gary - whether you know what you're doing or not, the 10fter still looks like a 7' brookie rod in your hands ;)

I can't help it that I'm larger than life.
