I took some time this year to keep an eye on the forum for photos of especially impressive or unique trout posted by our readership.

Like last year, there were some impressive candidates. After careful consideration, the mods have selected this brook trout posted by Swattie early in the year as the Top Trout for 2019.

Congrats to Swattie for a magnificent example of our state fish!

In full disclosure, though I took the picture, my neighbor (forum member streamrunner89) caught it! We had a heck of a day that day.

There’s always a lot of nice fish posted on here. And a lot of nice ones above. Lucky to live where we do!
