Looks like that boat is working out well for you. I'm still puzzled by the PVC balance rail: no doubt it would be handy for stand up fishing. . . but doesn't it get in the way of paddling (looks like you're using a kayak paddle)?
 
nope not at all, I use an elec motor and paddle, can paddle sitting or standing

Is your kayak registered? A friend of mine got pinched a few years ago on Lake Marburg for running a canoe with a trolling motor. Cost him a few $$$.
 
yep, waiting for numbers. first got the launch permit, then built the motor and did registration, then got corp of army engineers permit too so I can the big lakes here.
 
Cool! It seems so innocuous to slap a small trolling motor on a yak or canoe, but rest assured, the WCO's look for that type of stuff. Fines = revenue!
