Red, natural, & green. Jig hooks hang up less and when they do, most times you can get em loose. #16

Jig hooks require the slotted bead, right? Look nice, been using frenchies alot this year. If you dont mind, what do you use for hot spot?

Yes they do Jim. The hot spot is Ultra thread 70 fluorescent orange.

Three frenchmen...

walk into a bar....

Frenchies were good to me last year, I almost always had one on. I caught so many one day on the same fly that it started to fall apart. This year they haven't done as much for me. Another good material for the collar that I like is fluorescent orange thread and a tiny bit of shrimp pink ice dub. Good looking ties!

Look good Jack. Looking forward to fishing again.

Thanks everybody, Looking forward to it as well Mike.
Penny, I'd have posted pics but this site is rated "PG" and I want to stay in good standing with the powers that be. :)

not really

hends bl120 jig hook (60 degree bent jig hook) size 8

5/32 diameter round un-slotted bead

5/32 diameter slotted bead

no noticeable difference

I see. So now the opening where you would slide your lead wire into will be angled up as opposed to the slotted bead would be centered around the hook?

I don't believe there is any requirement for lead wraps when using a bead

You're certainly welcome to use it if YOU want to

so heres they are with lead wire

slotted bead + .020 diameter lead wire

as you can see the lead wire doesn't fit into the slotted bead but it fits into the round bead

i know which one i prefer
